Total repair for ultimate style and fashion
During the recent Philippine Fashion Week, all the models who graced the runway once again proved that long, shiny tresses brimming with vitality is the hottest look for the season.
Once your hair is stripped off of moisture, it becomes dry. Use mild shampoo then rinse thoroughly to rid of shampoo residue that may dry hair and scalp and attract dirt. Apply conditioner after shampooing to give hair extra moisture and protection.
Rough or coarse hair damaged by chemical and heat aggressors needs extra care. After washing your hair, comb through your hair to remove tangles before brushing it. Use brushes or combs with widely spread bristles or teeth.
Having split ends means you have premature hair aging and hair lacks keratin. Trim your hair regularly to prevent further split ends. Avoid using hair spray and gel and get proper hair treatment.
To solve these top 5 Filipina hair problems, the world’s number one beauty brand presents L’Oréal Paris Total Repair 5 a specially formulated hair care variant with nutrients that boost vitality of hair for a healthier and more beautiful look.
Total Repair 5 contains an active ingredient called Cement-Ceramide, which helps strengthen hair cell by cell, filling in cracks and sealing hair scales. It comes in forms of repairing shampoo and conditioner.
The Total Repair 5 Shampoo cleanses and keeps hair strong and healthy, replenishes moisture for smooth and shiny hair surface. While, its partner conditioner coats and detangles hair to make it stronger, nourished, shinier, smoother and with less split-ends.
With the ultimate hair care from L’Oréal Paris, you can flaunt your stylish and healthy locks.

Fashion and Style
Did you know that the shoes on your feet and the clothes on your back and accessories can tell a story about you and like the saying goes, you could tell a lot about a person by the shoes that they wear on their feet or whether or not they have low self-esteem or not.
Shoes: a woman's dream, women should always have a decent pair of shoes on their feet that won't hurt your feet causing you to have bunions and callouses. Beautiful feet is a must, and as a woman, you should always take care of your feet no matter what. Getting prepared for the summer and keeping a pedicure is a must. Ther's nothing more hot and glamorous than a woman with beautiful feet with a nice pedicure with a nice pair of sandals. Although, I prefer Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals. Those shoes are beautiful, a ltiile pricey but they're worth it.
Shoes: A man will never understand why women have to own a lot of shoes. They normally say, how many shoes does one woman need? We always say a lot. One cannot have too many shoes, there's no such thing! We have to have it all. Although, buying shoes should be an adventure for all women. It's important to have shoes for every occasion, because you never know and a great pair of shoes can transform any outfit into something hot and sexy and with shoes, you must have a bag to go with those shoes. You ever notice a woman walking down the street and she has on a dull outfit and it wreaks cheap but, she has on a nice pair of shoes and it helps the outfit so it can look a little more lively. Well, that only means that the shoes gave that outfit a boost and it says that she cared about whst she had on her feet even if she had on a dull outfit, the shoes made it look nice. Although, shoes tell a lot about a person whether they're sloppy, cheap, or just poor. If someone has on a pair of shoes and it has holes in it and they've been wearing those shoes for a long time then that means they don't have the money to buy anohter pair and if the eprson has on a pair of shoes and it has stains especially if it's a pair of canvas shoes, then that means they're sloppy. And last, but not least,if a person has on a pair of shoes that when it rains, your feet get we, it means they're cheap and will go through any lengths to buy cheap shoes everytime they shop. You should always wear genuine leather shoes or leather uppers, because not only are they nice, but you'll have your shoes for years at a time and you can dress them up with any outfit depending on what shoe it is, and what type of style and you won't have to worry about corns and bunions at all. If you want to go out and buy a nice pair of shoes, you shuld go to DSW shoe warehouse and you will find a great pair of shoes there. It's affordable and all they have are designer shoes, and every name you're looking for. The shoes at DSW shoe warehouse will always be in style because they carry the latest designer labels, but not only do they have shoes, but they have designer bags, hosiery and trouser socks of all names such as Anne Klein, Nine West, Via Spiga, and every hosiery there is. A great herringbone shoe with a kitten heel is good to have because you can dress it up with anything and a platform heel is great too and something metallic should always be in your closet. You'll need a killer pair of shoes to die for.
With clothing and Accessories: Women need some metallic tights and a metallic dress goes with a variety of accessories and shoes. When shopping, you should always shop and feel like a star. A white shirt with ruffles is always nice and you could pair it off with a nice belt. Tailored trousers and suits can be a look that you can keep forever.
With bags: However, patent leather envelope clutches are amazing and a black suit looks great with a ruffled top. A great bag is good to have for all seasons and you'll need your own personal style that no one could copycat from you. Don't you hate it when another woman tries to copy your style but can't even come close to it, so they go out and buy a cheap outfit to make it a clone like yours.
Newsflash: You can't clone an outfit that is original, it won't work, that is like shopping for Gucci at Wal-Mart. It's just not possible. Can one's sense of style really be the envy of other women? Yes, true because I have this friend who says she loves my style and the way I dress, so what she normally does is try to make her outfit like mine, she'll cut up the sleeves if I'm wearing short sleeves just so she could look like me. It annoyed me in a lot of ways, but I got over that because the only thing that came to my mind was that she wanted to look and dress like me, so I couldn't really get upset. If you look at it, they're people that see something in someone else that they see in themselves when it comes to fashion and style. Some people deal with it, and some don't. In fashion and style, your sense of fashion should be original and not just another bootleg!
With make-up: Always remember, your make-up should be chic, and always nice and presentable and you should always have a lseek style. You'll need eye catching accessories and always look amazing and maintain your sparkle, use mental tones on your face and you could do a day and evening look.
Know this: Color changes and black is a big deal and built in accessor in the outfit is nice to have. However, you can always accessorise with an empire waist dress and knee high boots make your legs look slimmer and you'll need clothes that show off your figure. There's nothing more flattering than a great outfit that's original with a good material that makes your body look like wow. Ladies, we must definitely pay attention to our appearances no matter what.
Newsflash: There is something about a woman that men find very sexy when a woman looks really put together. Women should take the way they look seriously. And last, but not least, take pride when you're dressing up, it speaks very highly of you!
Women will we be able to understand the reason why our clothing, shoes, and accessories tells a true story about us or will we keep ignoring our appearances!

Bright Dress & Bag

Bright color is de rigueur for summer, and this year designers like Jil Sander, Burberry, Lanvin and Dior have gone gaga for ultra-saturated hues and neon tints. These bold looks are great worn with contrasting brights, but remember to work in some neutrals to avoid looking like a box of crayons...
Most ladies have a simple black sheath, but I doubt many have one in electric purple. This Michael Kors frock alone gives you a reason to shop. Great with gold accessories for evening and either black or nude for day, but for you fashion slaves, try with bright-yellow shoes and this orange faux croc lady bag from Asos

The 10 Commandments of Anti-aging

1. WEAR SUNSCREEN—AND NOT JUST AT THE BEACH.
Rain or shine, "liberally applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains both UVA and UVB protection every day is the single most important thing you can do to prevent sun damage and skin cancer," says New York City dermatologist Doris Day. We love Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 (for normal skin), Kate Somerville Protect SPF 55 Serum Sunscreen (for oily skin), and Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen SPF 40 (for sensitive skin).
2. QUIT SMOKING.
In addition to causing cancer and bad breath, smoking cigarettes "destroys collagen and elastin and decreases levels of estrogen, which is necessary to keep skin firm," says New York City dermatologist Fredric Brandt.
3. USE A RETINOID.
It's the best way to slow down the clock with a cream. "Retinoids minimize the appearance of existing age spots and fine lines and prevent new ones from forming," says New York City dermatologist Heidi Waldorf.
4. STAY HYDRATED.
No, Diet Coke doesn't count. "The more hydrated your skin, the better your wrinkles will look," says Montclair, New Jersey, dermatologist Jeanine Downie. "Drink lots of water, cut back on coffee and soda, and moisturize regularly."
5. SLEEP WELL.
The expression "beauty rest" actually has some science behind it. "Not only does your skin require downtime to repair itself, but sagging skin and puffiness around the eyes make wrinkles look much worse," says Great Neck, New York, dermatologist Jeanette Graf.
6. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WEIGHT.
Not surprisingly, yo-yo dieting isn't great for your skin. "Skin loses elasticity over time," Waldorf says. "The more your weight fluctuates, the harder it is to snap back into shape."
7. EAT RIGHT.
"Your skin receives nutrients not only from creams and treatments, but also from the food you eat," Waldorf says. "The more balanced your diet, the younger you'll look. And if you're not taking a multivitamin, start now." To keep skin happy, eat more fatty fish (such as salmon), dark green vegetables (like broccoli and spinach), almonds, and walnuts. Drink lots of antioxidant green tea. And lay off the refined sugar and booze—both cause aging inflammatory reactions in the skin.
8. GET MOVING.
"Exercise increases blood flow to the skin and promotes a glowing, healthy-looking complexion," Downie says. "Working out for just 30 minutes four or five days a week can make a huge difference."
9. TRY TO RELAX.
The mind-body connection is a powerful one. "Do whatever you need to do to decompress," Waldorf says. "Stress causes cells to age faster, which absolutely shows on the skin."
10. DON'T PICK.
You got the same advice when you were a teenager. "Sun damage causes dark spots as you age, but so does picking at your blemishes," Waldorf says. "And since the skin takes a lot longer to repair itself as you age, the spots won't disappear right away."
How to Find Your Most Flattering Part
Side parts look best on narrow faces, says Parker. If you sweep your hair to the left side, for example, more of the right side of your face will show, creating the illusion that your face is a tad wider.
Middle parts are well suited to wide faces. Framing both sides of your face symmetrically will help define your cheekbones, and elongate the nose and chin, explains Parker.
Here's one more cool tip on face-flattering hairstyles: If you're wearing summer's trendy side ponytail or bun, take a look at your nose, says Parker. If your nose angles to one side—no matter how subtle the curve—position your hair over the opposite shoulder.

Are you using the wrong cleanser?
Normal skin
Normal skin feels smooth, has small pores and an equal balance of oil and water. "Wash with a soap-free cleanser or pH-neutral product," advises Sydney dermatologist Dr Tanya Gilmour. You'll also need two cleansers for different seasons, changing from a gel/foam cleanser to a richer milk cleanser during colder months, the National Skin Institute says.

Characterised by patchy and flaky skin, even if you're face isn't usually dry, it can dehydrate during winter or summer months if you sit in a heated or air-conditioned office. "It's due to heating or air-con in offices and cars — also people don't drink as much water as they should," the National Skin Institute says, explaining why so many of us have dehydrated skin.
Try QV Face Gentle Cleanser ($11.99) for mild cleansing. Because dehydrated skin has more dead skin cells attached to the surface of the skin, scrub them away with a gentle cleanser and exfoliator in one.

Fur flies over Fendi fashion show in South Korea
"The company of blood, Fendi, the city of blood, Seoul," read one banner outside the venue, a newly completed floating island on the Han river.
"Fur is cruel," read another.
City officials earlier threatened to cancel the event unless all fur items were removed from the catwalk, but later relented after organisers apparently agreed to reduce the number of such items in the show.
An AFP correspondent saw about 12 fur garments in the autumn/winter collection, fewer than the 20 originally planned.
But an estimated 80-90 protesters outside the venue were not appeased.
"A lot of Europeans reject the idea of using fur for clothes, so now luxury companies are rushing to Asia instead to cash in," said Jo Hee-Kyung, head of the Korea Animal Welfare Association.
His members were there to convey a message from the people of Seoul, he said.
Among the demonstrators were elementary schoolchildren, who held stuffed toy animals and wore rabbit ears. "It hurts so much, don't skin us," they chanted.
Police said about 100 plain-clothes officers were on duty but no incidents were reported.

How to choose which colours suit you best

If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the vast choices of clothes available in the shops or by your own mishmash of a wardrobe then this is for you! Knowing which colours suit you best will help simplify and improve your clothing choices.
Before you set to work on discovering which colours suit you best, you must disregard your preconceived ideas about what your "favourite" colours are, because although you like them, they may not actually be flattering for you. The best colours will leave you looking healthy, vibrant and refreshed.
Deciding on the colours that are best for you is very simple. It just depends on your own colouring, which includes your eye and hair colour and skin tone.
In order to tell your skin tone you need to look at it under natural light, checking to see whether there is a hint of golden or rosiness. A hint of apricot or golden undertones means you're "warm" toned, being slightly pink or rosy makes you "cool" toned.
Cool-toned people look best in blue-based colours; warm-toned people will look best in yellow-based colours.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some pointers
Warm tones
Warm tones suit natural earth colours such as browns, bronzes and sage greens.
For pretty feminine summer shades try peach and apricot.
If you prefer reds, then try brick red, dark tomato or a burnt orange hue.
Earth greens like olive or jade enhance warm skin tones.
Clean ivory or oyster whites also enhance the warm skin tone type.
For your professional wardrobe, look for clothes in taupe or bright navy. Try brown and gold accessories for maximum impact.
Cool tones
Pure white is a great match for cool skin tones.
Bold raspberries, deep greens, royal blue, plum and pure black are also winners.
Cool-toned people can wear bright ruby red to great effect.
Cool skin tones can also be enhanced by soft pastel blues and pinks.
Within these ranges there will be colours that suit individuals best, depending on the combination of hair, eye and skin colour. Be analytical the next time you try coloured clothing on to help you decide what really looks best on you.
If you can't be bothered to try everything on in order to sort through your wardrobe, you can just drape items over your shoulder and check how the colour looks next to your face.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things to look out for
Colours that complement your natural tone should brighten the appearance of your skin and look good with your hair and eyes. Colours which aren't so great will make you appear pale and washed-out and accentuate any dark shadows or blemishes.
Pay attention to what you are wearing when friends compliment you on your outfit — it's likely that this colour is a good match for you.
If you don't trust your own judgement or just want a second opinion, visit a department store make-up counter. Make-up artists are trained to spot which colours will suit people best. Ask them to consider your skin tone, hair colour and eye colour as they help you find the best colour pallet for you.
How do I shape my eyebrows?
Get your brows ship-shape and sexy with these expert tips...Brows that wow
“Always groom your brows in natural light,” advises brow specialist Kristen Fisher from The Brow Bar. “Use a hand mirror for close-up precision and a large mirror so you can step back and check that they are even.”
• Pointed tweezers are more precise; however, it’s easier to grab stubborn hairs with a slanted pair. Work with whichever you find easiest.
• “It’s fine to pluck strays above the eyebrow,” says Fisher. “Just don’t go overboard, and don’t tweeze too close to your hairline.”
• “Your brows should be long, thick and slightly arched,” says Fisher. “Avoid the tadpole look by going a little at a time, and use your natural shape as an outline.”
• For a longer-lasting result, get your brows threaded or waxed. Whatever you decide, it’s hard to get an accurate shape at home, so get it done professionally.
Tip: A technician needs 10 days of brow growth to restore your shape, and a months’ worth to start from scratch.
Post-Pluck...
• Your brow colour should be two shades deeper than your natural hair colour
• Dab some highlights within the arch of your brow to show off your handiwork
• Gently comb a gel through your brows to hold hair in place.
Three steps to perfect brows
1. Shape: Pull the skin tight and pluck hairs beneath the natural arch, in the direction they are growing.
2. Line up: To determine the inner edge, line up a pencil vertically against one nostril. Your brow should begin where it meets your forehead.
3. Define: Hold your eyebrow pencil so it’s lying sideways against the brow, then sketch the fine lines of your brow to define them.
Brow dos and don’ts
Do – groom your brows daily
Don’t – get rid of the long hairs, as these are what give your brows their shape.
Do – pluck brows after a hot shower when your pores are open – it’s less painful
Don’t – pluck them during your period, when your skin is particularly sensitive
Do – go and see a professional if you’re unsure about what shape to go for
Wearing heels gives you great legs
Good news for heel-lovers" wearing high heels gives women shapelier legs than wearing flats.A new study of 18 to 33 year-old women in the UK has found that women who walk in high heels activate their inner and outer calves more evenly than women who wear flats. The women had shapelier legs than those who wore shorter heels.
The results are similar to those found in an Italian study in 2009, which revealed that wearing heels can tone the body, condition muscles and even improve one's sex life. We don't know about that last claim, but we do know we feel instantly sexier when we wear high heels!

Kate's wedding dress by Sarah Burton
As a smiling Kate entered Westminster Abbey to meet Prince William, officials confirmed long speculation that Burton had made her dress. They had previously refused to give even the slightest detail about it.
"Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen?s work," officials said in a statement.
"Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress."
They said the dress made with ivory and white satin gazar, with a train measuring 2.7 metres (8.8 feet) and lace sleeves, "epitomises timeless British craftsmanship".
The bride had also borrowed a tiara loaned to her by Prince William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Burton took over as creative director at the label after McQueen committed suicide in February 2010. She had previously worked side by side with him for 14 years.
The 36-year-old graduate of Central St Martin's had long been tipped as the wedding dress designer.
A woman wearing a studded leather belt doubled through the loops of her jeans, in a fashion identical to the one favoured by Burton, was photographed on Thursday evening slipping into the Goring Hotel where Kate was staying.
Her head was hidden under a huge fur hat in an attempt to avoid identification.
The dress is expected to spawn a thousand reproductions.
Elizabeth Emanuel, who created Diana's fairytale wedding gown in 1981 with her husband David, is still being asked to make copies of that gown, an ivory silk taffeta frock with a 25-foot (7.6-metre) long train.
"Exactly as it happened in 1981, there are going to be people watching as she walks down the aisle with their sketch pads, with the machinists and pattern cutters all ready and waiting. By the next morning you'll see copies in the high street," Emanuel said.
Royal wedding fashion: tradition and modernity
All eyes, of course, were on the bride's dress — and it immediately became the stuff that dreams are made of.
The gown, whose details were kept secret until Middleton stepped out of the Goring Hotel to travel to Westminster Abbey, was a magnificent ivory confection with lace floral detail designed by Britain's Sarah Burton, creative director at Alexander McQueen.
A plunging neckline added an edgy touch to an otherwise traditional dress with lace-covered sleeves that ended at the wrists. Her hair was half up, half down, lightly curled and decorated with a tiara. She wore drop earrings.
"The dress itself was a glorious mix of modernity with a hint of historic reference and a wonderful silhouette to complement the architectural beauty of the abbey," said Avril Graham, Harper's Bazaar executive fashion and beauty editor.
Maid of honor Pippa Middleton wore a simple cream column dress also designed by Burton, with a deep neckline, and naturally styled hair. Her bridal tones and sashaying walk down the aisle behind her sister caught the eye of several commentators.
"Her dress was exceptionally fitted, and it was basically white," said Mark Niemierko, a wedding planner who has organized some of London's most extravagant nuptials. "For a bridesmaid that's always been a no-no but I think the idea could really catch on."
The flower girls also were decked out in cream dresses with full skirts and flowers in their hair.
Queen Elizabeth II looked stately yet cheerful in a primrose Angela Kelly dress and matching hat.
Carole Middleton, the bride's mother, wore a sky blue wool crepe coatdress with matching satin piping over a sky blue silk shantung day dress. Both were designed by the Catherine Walker label. Middleton's hat was created by British designer Jane Corbett.
Middleton often dresses youthfully like her daughters, but on wedding day she looked very much the matriarch.
The duchess of Cornwall wore a champagne silk dress and a duck egg blue and champagne coat by Anna Valentine, along with a Philip Treacy hat and Jimmy Choo shoes. Anna Valentine designed Camilla's dress for her 2005 wedding to Prince Charles.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's wife Miriam Gonzalez Duantez — a Spanish attorney — sent tongues wagging with a body-hugging dress draped with lace and a red hat but most guests were more conservative, wearing simple suits and knee length dresses in pastels and blues. Jewelry was understated, too — small earrings and strings of pearls.
On their heads however, guests wore a riot of color, sculpture and design.
Irish designer Treacy made most of the hats for royals attending the wedding — 36 in all that included creations for Prince Charles' wife, the duchess of Cornwall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Princess Michael of Kent, Queen Anna-Marie of Greece and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.
He also designed a hat for Hollywood royalty: Victoria Beckham wore a midnight blue Treacy hat. And dozens of less famous guests wore his creations — many resembling architectural works meant to elongate and frame the face.
"The wedding is an incredible boost for British fashion and for Britain," said Harold Tillman chairman of the British Fashion Council, which promotes British fashion abroad.
"There is nothing better than a morning suit for men — every man looks good in it. And all the guests looked wonderful. Most were beautiful and elegantly understated, with all the wildness and exaggeration in the hats."
Princess Beatrice, 22, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was wearing an ensemble of Valentino couture and gloves by Cornelia James with Treacy hats that rose like a modernist building from her hair.
Her sister, Princess Eugenie, 21, was wearing an outfit by Vivienne Westwood with an equally dramatic hat and a ring by Solange Azagury-Partridge with a Union Jack design. The two sisters love playing with fashion, trying out cutting edge styles many of their aristocratic peers would be too nervous to wear.
"The princesses are young and they wanted to make a statement. They wanted to have a little fun, which they should," said Tillman.
Prime Minister David Cameron's wife, Samantha, broke with tradition: she wore a sparkly hair clip instead of a hat. Her dress was a tight Burberry teal affair set off by a striking necklace by Erickson Beamon for Erdem.
"Her dress and jewelry were great, but I was disappointed she didn't wear a hat," said Niemierko. "She could have easily carried one off."
Zara Phillips, the queen's granddaughter who will also get married later this year, was wearing Paul Costelloe. The couple's friend, Tara Palmer Tomkinson was wearing Deborah Milner.
The wedding presents a golden opportunity for designers. Many replica hats and dresses are expected to be in shops this week.
Victoria Beckham wore a dress of her own design: the dark tones of the smock-like maternity gown had a slightly funereal look. Her husband David was one of the few guests to not wear a British designer, choosing wore a top hat with tails designed by Ralph Lauren, with a medal signifying that he is an officer of the order of the British empire pinned to his jacket.
Singer Elton John wore a purple tie and ivory waistcoat, while his partner David Furnish wore a light gray waistcoat and light-gray tie.
A handful of Italian designers are making appearances. Prince Harry's on again off again girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, chose two custom-made Alberta Ferretti looks — an aqua green satin dress for the abbey and an asymmetric, midnight blue satin gown for the evening.
The crowds outside were more eclectic. Most made sure they dressed warmly for an overcast British spring day, but accessorized with flags and photographs of the newlyweds.
Hats were as popular outside the abbey as inside. Some women wore hats shaped like a wedding cake, others wore plastic bowler hats with a union jack pattern, and some simply wore children's party hats.

Apply eye shadow and liner like a pro
Great eye make-up can look like two mini works of art on your face. Here are some essential eye shadow and liner tips.
- Always prep your eyelid before applying eye shadow — use some foundation or a light concealer, followed by a little powder.
The most important rule of applying eye shadow is to blend, blend, blend!
- Don't overload your brush with shadow — start with a little and build on the colour.
- Confused about eye shadow duos, trios and quads? The lightest colour is for your base — it goes all over the lid, the middle colour is for the inner half of the lid and the darker colour is for the outer half and contour line.
- Still not sure about the colour combos? Go for a simple wash of a very sheer or neutral shade across your lids.
- Never extend eye shadow too far past the inner and outer corners of your eye — this will make your eyes look heavy or overdone.
- For an intense or long-lasting colour, try applying powder shadow over the top of cream.
- Applied too much colour? Gently buff off with cotton wool or tone down with a skin-toned shade.
- Eye shadow can easily be used — wet or dry — as eyeliner. Just use a fine or flat brush to apply along your lash lines.
- Fake-alert: get bright eyes by lining your eyes inner corners (the "V") with a light-coloured, shimmery pencil.
- Lining eyes with a dark liner/shadow will make them appear smaller — be careful if you have small eyes.
- Lining the inner rims of your eyes with a white pencil can help them appear larger.
- Note: Eye make-up is most fun of all. Be bold, daring and experimental — you won't regret it!

Quick beauty tips
Dry shampooNot a morning person? Always dashing out the door to a fabulous party? So busy with work you haven't been able to squeeze in a haircut for the last six months? Make your beauty routine easier with these fast tips:
Speed it up
Speed up the drying process of your moisturiser/primer before applying foundation by giving your face a cool shot of air from your hairdryer first.
Firm and brown
Want to give your legs a bit of a firm-up and colour? Mix some firming moisturising cream with a liquid body bronzer, and do both in one hit.
Be organised
Organise your make-up so all your staple products (foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer) and shades (blush, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, gloss) are together. That way you're not hunting around your bathroom cupboards trying to find your make-up must-haves.
Dry shampoo
Dry-hair shampoo is a godsend, really. Not only will it disguise greasy, haven't-had-time-to-wash-it hair, but it gives hair a volume boost, taking it from blah to sexy in seconds.
Go sheer
If you can't live without painted nails, make sheer pink your favourite shade. Chips will be less noticeable, which is great when you're lacking the time to redo your polish.
Quick wash
The thought of skipping a hair wash is too much to bare? Wash the top section (i.e. front layers and fringe) only. Squeaky clean hair on top will disguise manky hair underneath, and it takes less than 10 minutes, even on long, thick hair.
Moisture on the go
Keep a small tube of moisturiser (with an SPF) in your handbag (ditto a nail file). Moisturise hands while on bus/train/in cab. Ignore looks from other passengers. Neat nails and soft hands are worth it!
Quick hair
Hair is limp and lifeless? Create a polished look in seconds by pulling hair back into a tight, low ponytail, wrap a small section of hair around the elastic tie, and fix the end with a bobby pin. Fast, chic hair.
TV and beauty
Get into the habit of pairing up your favourite TV show with an element of your beauty routine. Eg: House = face-mask night; Law & Order SVU = toe-painting night. Do this and you've suddenly freed up a couple of hours each week!
